A Late Christmas Wish-List

It's Christmas Eve Eve Eve!!!

So, I know it's too late to be lusting over potential Christmas presents , however and most importantly, it's my birthday on the 29th giving everyone enough time to take the hint :)

Goodies

1. ASOS PETITE Exclusive Coatigan in Check
2. Zara Pointed Vamp Heels
3. Jo Malone perfume - Pomegranate Noir
4. Tartan take-over playsuit by ARK
5. Dolce & Gabbana - The One

The Jo Malone and Dolce perfumes are festive fragrances that I love. Both a spicy and sensual scent in addition to being long lasting and noticeable.

Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you get all that your heart desires :)

Product Review: Macadamia Hair Products

Hey There!

Soo, this post is long overdue....

I purchased some Macadamia hair products from Groupon a couple of weeks back which I have been meaning to do a review on but I always forget (silly me!). Better late than never ayy.

Okay so I have been trying my very best to keep my hair healthy by using natural hair products. This means studying product ingredients and spending hours on the internet reading product reviews! Organix was a brand that kept popping up, in particular the Macadamia range.

I see why!!  Not only does the product smell absolutely beautiful but it does exactly what it says on the container (plus it's sulfate free meaning I am not using harsh drying chemicals on my scalp/hair). So when you find a product that works you stick to it right? RIGHT! So when I saw the Macadamia range was on offer on Groupon, I had to have it and of-course, it didn't disappoint.

It came in a cutesy bag complete with a comb

 Rejuvenating Shampoo

Deep Repair Masque

 Moisture Leave-In-Cream

 Moisturizing Rinse

Healing Oil Treatment

Why I love it?

1) It smells so good (good enough to eat, but I wouldn't recommend it )
2) It hydrates - For my hair texture, hydration is key. The more hydrated my hair is the more it grows!
3) It keeps my hair Smooth and Frizz Free
4) It is deep conditioning (Increased moisture = less breakage)
5) It is Sulfate and Paraben Free - it doesn't strip away the natural oily goodness from your hair. This is also perfect for people with coloured hair.

The offer is no longer on Groupon but you can purchase the products here.  Let me know if it works for you too!

Travels - Barcelona

Sooo,

I went to Barcelona for the weekend of my boy's birthday. It was amazing! I've never been to Spain (as we missed it when inter-railing) and I guess I chose a bit of an unusual time to go as Barcelona is associated with sun and beaches, but it didn't take away from what an incredible place it is. It's so artsy and beautiful. I am definitely going again next summer. Actually, it might just be my permanent get-away place.

Below are a few pictures we managed to take... I stupidly forgot my camera so everything I took was on my phone. Pics didn't turn out too bad though !

Enjoy
XoXo

Dress For Winter

Hey Hey Hey,

Sorry for my absence. Work has taken up most of my time.

BUT...

I have so many new and exciting purchases to show you all so don't give up on me :)

So winter is well and truly here. I can't lie, I am still in summer/autumn mode but I am slowly transitioning. I  had to pack up all my summer gear and put them in a suitcase to help me dress weather-appropriate.

This is today's winter outfit:

Dress: Barnea Layered Floral Skater Dress - Missguided - (I had been eyeing up this dress for a while and finally got it on Friday. I wasn't too sure on it at first but i've grown to love it.)

Bag: Charity Shop - ( I bought the bag from my local charity shop for £4!!)

Shoes:  TK MAX /SixtySeven- (TK Max is another shop I've grown to love as I've always viewed it as a bit of a jumble sale. I had been looking for winter boots EVERYWHERE so when I finally came across these, is was love at first sight!. They are extremely comfortable, timeless and they go with everything)

Tights: Primark

Faux Fur Coat: ASOS - (this is a birthday present from last year so I think it may be sold out on ASOS but it is worth looking on eBay if you are interested)

Sleek Exxxaggerate Lipstick vs. MAC's RIRI Boy Lipstick

Hey barbs (lol I try to come up with a new one everytime... )

So I recently did a review on the Sleek Exxxaggerate lipstick ( if you haven't seen the post, check it out ) and I said I would compare it to the MAC RiRi Boy lipstick when it arrives! So here goes....

Sleek Exxxaggerate

MAC RiRi Boy

Comparison ...

Stating the obvious but Exxxaggerate is a much darker purple than the RiRi Boy. The RiRi boy is true to the 'vivid lavender' description and more on the pink than the purple side. They are both matte so a well moisturised lip is recommended before application. Personally, I feel Exxxaggerate has a much drier and stiffer texture than RiRi Boy. They both wear for a longer time although RiRi Boy lasts just that bit longer.

Exxxaggerate is an affordable £4.99 from most beauty stores. RiRi Boy sold out so quickly when launched so it can only be purchased from eBay, Amazon etc and the price ranges from £23 - £35.

Both lipsticks are beautiful but I think I prefer Exxxaggerate. The colour is so unique and borderline gothic but I have not really had the chance to experiment with RiRi Boy so who knows, my preference might change...
