Four ideas for luxury Christmas gifts

There’s always going to be a budget at Christmas time, but sometimes you just have to treat yourself and your family to something truly special. If you’re running out of ideas and need some inspiration for luxury gifts this season, then don’t fret and read on for my top four suggestions…

1. Fine food and wine hampers

If you have any foodies in the family, then I guarantee they will love nothing more than unwrapping a hamper on Christmas morning, full to the brim with vintage wines, craft ales, foreign cheeses and festive sweets. There are some impressive food hampers online these days, but there are ways that you can make them more personal. If you know of a particular wine or spirit that your family member loves, buy it, pick up a wicker hamper, and then collect a number of fine seasonal treats over the next few weeks. It may take a little longer than simply ordering one, but you know for sure that everything in there will be adored.

2. Fine jewellery

If you’re really out to impress this year then top quality, handmade jewellery is the way to go, and what better way to express the wearer’s individuality than with a ChloBo charm bracelet. You can get unique designs and cool charms in everything from stunning silver to opulent rose gold, with gemstones that can either protect, bring luck or express love, depending on its properties. In case you were thinking this is just for the girls though, they create plenty of men’s pieces too, made from materials such as Black Horn.

3. Give them a getaway

What better gift to give than one of experience? If you have some family members who are in desperate need of a break or some winter sun, why not buy them a 5-star getaway package? Whether it’s a trip to a country manor with a spa treatment thrown in, or the chance to jet off the beautiful shores of Santorini or Dubrovnik, there are some incredible deals to be had right now. My tip is to look out for packages on sites like Secret Escapes and Last Minute over the next few weeks. I just booked one to Cape Verde!!

4. Beauty advent calendars

When you think of advent calendars, it’s probably the little chocolate ones for the kids that spring to mind, right? But advent calendars have become far more sophisticated than that these days! Some of the most expensive brands and well-known designers have created their own version of an advent calendar, so if you know someone who is an aspiring make-up artist, this should be at the top of your gift list. You could pick up full-sized lipsticks and eye pencils in the Charlotte Tilbury beauty calendar, or spoil your sister with her very own Jo Malone calendar, packed with famous scents and lotions – check out a wider range here.
